• fostering a sense of community
• being a channel for providing relevant information in a timely manner to parents and staff
• positively promoting the school and its philosophy
• purchasing resources to directly benefit students of the school.
Membership is open and free to all parents and guardians of students at the school.
The group meets on each second Tuesday of the month (excepting school holidays). Meetings are informal and provide an opportunity for parents to meet each other, share ideas, learn more about the school and help to plan fund-raising activities.
Occasionally, the Parents’ Club convenes an information night. This usually involves teaching staff presenting information on the philosophy and practices of the school, Board of Management members sharing ideas on the strategic development and management of the school, or guest speakers from relevant community organisations addressing parents on topics of interest.
In addition, one of the Co-Principals attends each meeting and welcomes relevant questions. (Concerns relating to specific children are best raised with teachers on a more personal level.)
