How to Apply

To begin the enrolment process, please contact our Business Manager to request an Application for Admission form and School Prospectus, which offers a detailed overview of our educational philosophy, curriculum, and learning environment.

Please note that we maintain a wait pool for future enrolments. Placement is determined by the date we receive your application, with priority given to siblings of current students. We strongly encourage families to apply as far in advance as possible. Applications for Admission are accepted from the date of birth of your child.

2026 Fee Schedule

At The Launceston Preparatory School, we understand the importance of clarity and flexibility when it comes to school fees. Our fee structure is designed to be simple, with options for monthly payments and discounts for families with more than one child enrolled. All fees are billed over 10 months, from February to November.

  • Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday only

    The Early Learning fee is calculated based on the number of days your child attends each week. The cost for one day per week is $2,810 per year, or $281 per month. If your child attends two days per week, the cost would be $562 per month, and for three days, it would be $843 per month (or $8,430 per year).

    Sibling discounts apply for Early Learning:

    • A second child receives a 10% discount, with fees of $2,530 per year or $253 per month.

    • A third child receives a 20% discount, bringing the fee to $2,210 per year or $221 per month.

  • Monday to Friday

    Kindergarten fees are also based on how many days your child attends each week. For a first child, the monthly fees are as follows:

    • Two days per week: $366

    • Three days: $549

    • Four days: $732

    • Full-time (five days): $915 per month, or $9,150 per year.

    Sibling discounts are available for full-time Kindergarten students:

    • The second child receives a 10% discount ($8,100 per year or $810 per month).

    • The third child receives a 20% discount ($7,250 per year or $725 per month).

    • The fourth child receives a 30% discount ($6,250 per year or $625 per month).

    Please note: Kindergarten students are encouraged to start with a minimum of two days per week, gradually increasing to four days by Term 3 in the year before they begin Prep. If your child begins later in the year or increases days, your monthly payments will be adjusted accordingly.

  • The annual tuition fee for a first child in Prep to Grade 6 is $8,190, with monthly payments of $819.
    Sibling discounts apply as follows:

    • The second child pays $7,370 per year ($737 per month).

    • The third child pays $6,540 per year ($654 per month).

    • The fourth child pays $5,565 per year ($565 per month).

  • We offer a 4% discount for families who pay the full year's fees within 30 days of the first invoice. Please note that this discount is not available for payments made by credit card.

    Fees are due by the last day of each month from February to November. Parents are welcome to make extra payments in advance if preferred.

    You can pay using several convenient methods:

    • Direct Credit: Transfer to our bank account

    • EFTPOS: Available for payments using Cheque, Savings, Mastercard, or Visa.

    • Cheque or Cash: Accepted at the school office.

    Staff members currently employed by the school are eligible for a staff discount on school fees, as determined by the Board of Management each year.
